Reason for Recommendation
The Gold Country Endurance Riders sponsors an annual equestrian ride composed of a thirty mile fun / introduction / beginner ride and an additional twenty mile loop for a total fifty mile endurance ride. This ride is sanctioned with the American Endurance Riders Conference. It provides an opportunity for riders of all age groups and skill levels to experience and participate in a day of riding in our forests. The group uses the campground facility at the Georgetown Airport and although they usually bring in portable units, they wish to contribute to the maintenance of the restroom facilities.
Airport staff planned to perform maintenance on the restrooms this fiscal year, however, this donation will help provide for the purchase of necessary materials to replace the fascia board, repaint the floors and replace the light fixtures.
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
Department will send a letter of appreciation to the Gold Country Endurance Riders.
