Title: Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending the Board: 1) Make findings in accordance with County Ordinance 3.13.030 that it is appropriate to contract with Barton Healthcare Services for the provision of Public Health services, provided under Funding Out Agreement 6419, because “(C) “the limited timeframes, temporary or occasional nature, or schedule for the project or scope of work, the ongoing aggregate of work to be performed is not sufficient to warrant addition of permanent staff;” 2) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Funding Out Agreement for 6419 with Barton Healthcare Services, with a not-to-exceed (NTE) amount of $350,000, and for the term of approximately 2.5 months from upon execution through June 30, 2022 with the option to extend for up to two (2) one-year terms; and 3) Authorize the HHSA Director, or designee, to execute further documents relating to Agreement 6419, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, including amendments that d...

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:
Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA,) as the primary recipient of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Immunization Grant Agreement 17-10315 (Grant), has identified service needs that fall within the scope and purpose of the grant, and has submitted a budget and work plan to CDPH to sub award funds to a community partner for the purposes of preventing and controlling vaccine-preventable diseases within the Eastern slope of the County. Barton Healthcare Services is a community partner identified in the CDPH budget and work plan, currently providing community services within El Dorado County.
