DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

Environmental Management collects tax revenue for snow removal in the City of South Lake Tahoe.  The funds collected, including interest earned, are paid in full to the City of South Lake Tahoe.  The funds collected were higher than anticipated and a budget transfer is necessary increasing appropriations to allow for full payment of the funds collected.

 

ALTERNATIVES

The Board could choose not to approve the budget transfer and the funds would need to be paid in Fiscal Year 2024-25.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

There is no change to Net County Cost as a result of this item.  The funds have been collected and this item will allow for the full payment of funds.

The Clerk of the Board will obtain the Chair's signature on the original budget transfer and will forward the budget transfer to the Auditor-Controller for processing.
