DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Pursuant to Elections Code section 9115, the Elections Department certified the results of an initiative petition titled, "Emergency Preparedness, Healthcare Access, and Wildfire Prevention Sales Tax Initiative" on June 15, 2026.
On June 23, 2026, the Board of Supervisors accepted the Certification of Petition Signatures and ordered the initiative measure to be placed on the next statewide election to be held on November 3, 2026.
This resolution repeats the Board of Supervisors’ order and establishes the language for the ballot question.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
