Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There will be no net county cost. The attached budget transfer will establish both the revenue and appropriation for use of these funds.
Background: In August 2011, the District Attorney's Office was awarded $23,683 for the purchase of desktop scanners and courtroom laptops. This equipment wil be utlizied in moving the department towards a paperless system resulting in decreased cost for storage space along with improving the case flow within the department. Once the department has completely migrated to paperless all attorney's and administrative staff will have access to full case history without the use of a case file.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Chair to sign the budget transfer and forward to the auditors office for posting.
