A tribute to the life of retired Fire Chief Jack Anderson will take place on January 14, 2012, at the IOOF Hall in Georgetown.  As part of the ceremony a procession of 100 uniformed firefighters along with the Studebaker Fire Truck and other tributes to Chief Anderson will take place between the Fire Station and IOOF Hall.  Main Street will also be lined with Fire Trucks from neighboring fire districts.

The Georgetown community respectfully requests the closure of Main Street from the intersection of Highway 193 north to Harkness.  Traffic will be directed to both South Street and Church Street.  Over 50 volunteers will be on site beginning at 8:00 am to assist with directing both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
