Background:  On December 13, 2011, your Board approved a Budget Transfer through Agenda Item 11-1393 establishing the budget and appropriations for the use of $14,000 of AB109 Prison Realignment Special Revenue funds for this project.

Reason for Recommendation:

The Sheriff's Office currently has a contract in place with TracNet that is valid through June 30, 2012.  Approval of this recommendation will allow TracNet to move foward with the necessary software modifications to complete the interface with the District Attorney's Office case management system.  This interface will streamline data entry and allow for the exchange of data without a paper file.

Action to be taken following Board approval:

After execution of this Agreement, the Sheriff's Office will provide copies to TracNet Corporation and the District Attorney's Office so that this project can be implemented.
