Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The District Attorney's Office will receive the funds paid by the retiring employee.
Reason for Recommendation: District Attorney Investigator, Greg Murphy, retired on 12/03/2011. Upon his retirement he expressed the desire to purchase his duty weaon at replacement value. The weapon would normally be used as a trade-in. The weapon is as follows with a quoted resale value by Newtown Firearms: Glock 30sf, serial number NNN029 value of $200.00. Legal transfer of ownership will be done through Newtown Firearms at no cost to the county.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Upon approval of the recommendation, the District Attorney's Office will process the necessary surplus paperwork.
