Auditor-Controller recommending the Board adopt Resolution 031-2012 to amend Resolution 342-2003 relating to excess proceeds from tax sales due to changes in State Law (SB948) which became effective January 1, 2012.
Body
Reason for Recommendation:  Pursuant to Revenue and Taxation (R&T) Code section 4675.1, the Board may delegate any county officers to perform on its behalf any act required/authorized to be performed by the Board under R&T Code section 4675.  Delegation is currently performed under Resolution 342-2003.  The proposed amendments to Resolution 342-2003 add two new items to the proof necessary by a claimant to establish a claim for excess proceeds from tax sale pursuant to mandatory additions to State Law (SB948) effective January 1, 2012.
 
Fiscal Impact:  There is no fiscal impact
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: Auditor-Controller will ensure that assignments include the two new items.
