Treasurer-Tax Collector informing the Board that she will be absent from the State for the period of June 10, 2012 through June 30, 2012, and recommending that the Board consent to her absence for a period of one month or more, should an emergency arise preventing the Treasurer-Tax Collector's return to the State as scheduled.

The Treasurer-Tax Collector is scheduled to be out of the United States from June 10, 2012 to June 30, 2012. However, should an unexpected emergency arise, this time frame could be extended.
Government Code, Section 1063, allows an officer of the County to be absent from the State for more than one month with the consent of the Board of Supervisors.
Although the Treasurer-Tax Collector plans to return within one month, approval of this motion will accommodate any unexpected delays should they occur.
