Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no Net County Cost associated with this Use of Facilities Agreement. This Agreement was anticipated and included in the appropriations for the Health Services budget.
 
Background:    The Health and Human Services Agency, Health Services Department provides mass prophylaxis dispensing, inoculation clinics, training events, public meetings or other similar services for the residents of the County from time to time. Frequently it is in the best interest of the County residents to hold these events at a location that is convenient to the public. El Dorado County Office of Education has agreed to act as the liaison between the Health and Human Services Agency, Health Services Department and the schools in the district for use of the school facilities for the aforementioned events.
 
This agreement requires Board of Supervisor approval due to the perpetual nature of the agreement term.
 
Compensation for Services:  Health Services shall reimburse the school districts for reasonable and appropriate custodial, utility and other incidental costs incurred as a result of use of the facilities within forty-five days of receiving the invoice.
 
Contract Termination:  This Use of Facilities Agreement may be terminated by either party with thirty (30) days written notice to the other.
Reason for Recommendation:   Approval of this Use of Facilities Agreement will allow Health Services to utilize school facilities for events including, but not limited to inoculation clinics, mass prophylaxis dispensing, etc.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1.      Chair to sign three (3) original Use of Facilities Agreements.
2.  Board Clerk's Office to return two (2) signed original Agreements to Health Services.
3.      Health Services to distribute documents as appropriate.
