Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No change to Net County Cost, as funds for this services is included in the Human Resources Department budget for the remainder of FY 2011-12 budget.  Services to be rendered after June 30, 2012 will be included in the FY 2012-13 budget.
 
Background:
 
Reason for Recommendation:  The Board is being asked to make findings that this independent Contractor can more economically and feasibly provide all professional legal services as a third party for the purpose of advising and assisting the County Civil Service Commission, acting as counsel for the Commission during hearings of appeals of discipline actions, complaints of unlawful personnel discrimination and other personnel matters pursuant to Board Resolutions or Memoranda of Understandings.
