Reason for Recommendation:
State funding for Probation juvenile programs were included as part of the State's 2011 Public Safety Realignment.   Information received during the FY 2011/12 budget process indicated funds received for the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) and Juvenile Probation Funding would be deposited into the County Local Revenue Fund 2011, SRF 7777006.   State Controller's remittance advices for these programs do not support the deposit directly into this SRF.   Therefore, Probation requests to reclassify the budget for JJCPA into the established SRF 7778311 (Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund) and Juvenile Probation Funding directly into the Department's operating budget.  The Department is also increasing revenue and expenditures in the JJCPA operating budget, Index Code 254060, based on actual revenues received from the State.

Action to be taken following Board approval:
1.  Chair of the Board to sign the attached Budget Transfer
2.  The signed budget transfer will be forwarded to the Auditor Controller for processing
