Body
At the August 9, 2011, Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board welcomed a delegation of Japanese foreign exchange students visiting El Dorado County as part of the 2011 California 4-H International Exchange Program.  The Japanese students were in California for a one-month summer program as part of their participation in the Labo organization.  Labo is a youth development program in Japan that offers an integrated program of language learning and cultural awareness for Japanese youth and their families.  The Labo organization, in collaboration with the California 4-H Program, offers a similar four-week homestay experience in Japan for 4-H youth from California.

Emily Gudeman will travel to Nagoya, Japan this summer as part of the 4-H/Labo International Exchange Program and will be the only County of El Dorado 4-H Exchange Program member to make the trip this year.
