Members of the Executive Branch of the United States expressed an interest in establishing a presence on the west coast. This is long overdue and a fantastic opportunity for our county. It is envisioned that the presence be akin to a Camp David or possibly more formal. Regardless, El Dorado County is perfectly suited in its proximity to the State Capitol and abundant natural resources to represent the west coast. The western slope of El Dorado County is in a rural setting, yet surprisingly close to the urban services and facilities. Our county has several landowners who are supportive of our interest to attract a West Coast Executive Branch residence.
