The $85,000 to be secured through this Grant Agreement will help fund the Right-of-Way acquisition costs associated with the Project and is programmed within the adopted Fiscal Year 12/13 budget. There is no cost to the County General Fund.
Reason for Recommendation
CTA-11014 is an Acquisition grant for the Sawmill 2B Bike Path and Erosion Control Project (Project) (CIP No. 95192). The California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) Governing Board approved the subject grant agreement at its March 15, 2012 meeting. The Project will construct a class 1 bike path along the south side of Sawmill Rd. that will connect to the County's Sawmill 1 Bike Path Project (CIP No. 95148) completed in 2008 and to the County's Sawmill 2A Bike Path and Erosion Control Project (CIP No. 95165) currently in construction. The Project will also install water quality and erosion control improvements along this section of Sawmill Rd. The subject Grant Agreement will provide the necessary funds to complete the Right-of-Way acquisition of certain real property or interest therein necessary for the completion of the Project.
