Title: Department of Transportation recommending the Board adopt Resolution 120-2012 sanctioning the closures of Main Street and South Street in Georgetown between Highway 193 and Harkness Street. Additionally, road barricades will be located at the intersections of Main Street/Placer Street, Main Street/Orleans Street and Main Street/School Street between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012, for the "Pride of the Mountains Car Show," subject to conditions set forth in Resolution No. 110-79 and conditions set forth in the "Application for Road Closure."

Background
The "Pride of the Mountains Car Show" is an event sponsored by the Georgetown Rotary Club and anticipated attendance is approximately 150 participants.  The requested road closures are for the safety of the parade participants, volunteers, and spectators along the course.
Reason for Recommendation
Department of Transportation is recommending Board approval of the closure to allow for the safety and success of this community event.  Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
1.      The Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chairman's signature on the Resolution.
2.      The Clerk of the Board to send a fully executed copy of the Resolution to this Department.
3.      The roads listed in the Resolution will be closed on Saturday, September 8, 2012, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for the "Pride of the Mountains Car Show" event.
