Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
There is no fiscal impact associated with this agenda item. Funding for the Amendment will be provided by Highway Bridge Program funds.

Background
On September 15, 2009 the Board approved Agreement for Services No. 870-S0911 with Sycamore Environmental Consultants, Inc. for a not-to-exceed amount of $240,000 for a three-year term to assist the Department of Transportation (Department) with environmental review services for the Rubicon Trail Area projects: Rubicon Trail at Ellis Creek - Bridge Replacement Project (CIP No. 77117) and Wentworth Springs Road at Gerle Creek - Bridge Replacement Project (CIP No. 77118).

Reason for Recommendation
Both bridge replacement projects have encountered delays related to agency coordination and permitting processes and approval. The purpose of the Amendment is to extend the expiration date of the Agreement from September 14, 2012 to the County’s recordation of Notices of Acceptance for the projects or resolution of all construction claims, if any, associated with the projects. This change will ensure that expiration of the Agreement coincides with the completion of the work for the projects. There are no changes to the Scope of Work or the not-to-exceed compensation amount of the Agreement....
