Background
On August 28, 2012 the Board of Supervisors received and filed the Initial Draft Response to the 2011-12 Grand Jury Final Report.  There were no changes to the Initial Draft however, Board of Supervisor policy A-11 requires that a Final Draft be brought back to the Board.

The 2011-12 Grand Jury published its Final Report on June 29, 2012.  Under the California Penal Code the Board of Supervisors must provide a response to the Presiding Judge within 90 days.  The Penal Code deadline for responding to this Final Report is September 27, 2012.  Sub-reports included in the Final Report that warrant a response from the Board of Supervisors include:

·      El Dorado County Policies and Procedures
·      El Dorado County Business License Ordinance
·      Department of Transportation Financial Management
·      Fee Waivers, Iron Gate
·      Sheriff's Department Incentive Pay
·      Consolidation of City and County Services

Board Policy A-11 guides the development of the Board of Supervisors response to the Grand Jury reports.  The Chief Administrative Office has worked with relevant departments to compile the Initial Draft Response for the Board's consideration.  The Grand Jury has been notified of the date and time of this agenda item.
