Pursuant to the protocols set by the United States Geological Survey Congressional Affairs representative, and as specially requested by Congressman Tom McClintock, Placer County, the City of South Lake Tahoe, the American Legion Post 795 join the County of El Dorado in supporting the naming of an unnamed natural peak in the Tahoe Basin "Gold Star Peak" in honor of soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedoms shared by all.
