Background
The Trails Advisory Committee presented the attached Bench Policy to the Parks and Recreation Commission on August 16, 2012. This policy is in response to requests from the public to donate benches and other items on trails and parks in El Dorado County. The motion was made by Member Smart, seconded by Member Gertsch to bring the County Bench Policy to the Board of Supervisors for possible adoption. Motion passed 4-0.
Reason for Recommendation
This policy would give a process for donation of benches and other items.
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
1. Chief Administrative Office will work with Facilities on bench costs and contact individuals who have made requests.
2. Chief Administrative Office will work with Facilities to develop a map with locations for benches and other items.
