Background/Reason for Recommendation:
The Board approved Agreement 343-S1111 with Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, Inc. for drug and alcohol screening for the Probation and Sheriff Departments on March 1, 2011. The Health & Human Services Agency had a separate agreement in place for similar services and District Attorney had expressed a need for these services as well. Procurement & Contracts decided to amend the current agreement to allow provision of services to all departments under one agreement. As a result the Procurement & Contracts staff will take over administration of this agreement.

This amendment will provide savings to the Health & Human Services Agency because the rates under their current Agreement are approximately 10% higher than the rates in this proposed amendment.
