Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
The FY 2011-12 budget included an appropriation for the annual payment to TRPA. The invoice inadvertanlty did not get paid in FY 2011-12. The funds rolled into General Fund fund balance at the end of FY 2011-12. The attached budget transfer will decrease General Fund contingency to pay the late FY 2011-12 invoice.
Background
Each year the county contributes funds per the Tahoe Regional Planning Compact (Attachment A). The contribution for FY 2011-12 did not get paid and is owed to TRPA.
Reason for Recommendation
The budget transfer will allow for the payment of the past due FY 2011-12 invoice.
