Background
Agreement 623-F1211 was approved by the Board on July 31, 2012 via Board item 12-0873. This Agreement with the State of California provides funding for the County to provide mental health services for Medi-Cal eligible clients in accordance with the terms and conditions therein. The State requested this extension of the term to allow time for to prepare revised Agreement language reflecting a reorganization taking place at the State.
Retroactive Term
This Amendment to Agreement 623-F1211 is effective December 30, 2012. The Amendment was not received from the State until December 4, 2012, which did not allow sufficient time for Health and Human Services to review and obtain approval to place this item on the Board agenda prior to the expiration of the original term.
Reason for Recommendation
Approval of this Amendment I to Agreement 623-F1211 will allow the County to continue providing mental health services for Medi-Cal eligible clients through April 30, 2013.
