Hearing to consider adoption of Resolution 026-2013 establishing Contract Application, Permit Application, and Inspection fees in accordance with Chapter 8.74 of Title 8 of the County of El Dorado Code of Ordinances titled "County Emergency Medical Services and Medical Transportation" as amended by the Board of Supervisors on February 26, 2013 via Ordinance 4991, and Chapter 8.74.080(B) of said Ordinance which allows the setting of Contract Application and Permit Fees by Resolution of the Board of Supervisors.

Background
On December 18, 2012 (Agenda Item 12-1491), the Health and Human Services Agency submitted a revision of the Ambulance Ordinance as directed by the Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance 4991 with a final adoption (Second Reading) scheduled for January 15, 2013, which was continued to February 26, 2013. Ordinance 4991 allows the Board of Supervisors to set Contract Application and Permit Fees by Resolution, and the Health and Human Services Agency, Emergency Medical Services ("EMS") Agency recommends approval of this proposed Resolution contingent on Board adoption of Ordinance 4991.
Reason for Recommendation
Approval of Resolution _________ in accordance with Ordinance 4991 will establish the mechanism and rates for the EMS Agency to charge a fee for service in the processing of Contract Applications, Permit Applications, and Inspections.
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
Health and Human Services Agency, EMS Agency to implement the rates and process for Advanced Life Support Ambulance Contract Applications, Inspections and Permit Applications.
