Background
The public utilities easement, as shown on Lot 261 of "Waterford Unit No 4", recorded at Book G of Subdivisions at Page 111 was offered to the County of El Dorado by, SOUTHFORK PARTNERSHIP, A GENERAL PARTNERSHIP. It was signed in counter-part COKER-EWING COMPANY, A GENERAL PARTNERSHIP, GENERAL PARTNER on August 31 1988; and by HOME CAPITAL CORPORATION, A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION, GENERAL PARTNER on August 29, 1988. The easement was accepted by the County of El Dorado on October 4, 1988 and the Subdivision Map recorded on October 12, 1988.

Reason for Recommendation:
A request has been submitted by, Gerald J. Langley and Janet Langley, owner of Assessor's Parcel Number 110-221-08, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a portion of the public utilities easement located on the subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A, and depicted in Exhibit B of attached Resolution.

AT&T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District and Pacific Gas & Electric has not used said easement for the purpose for which it was dedicated and finds no present or future need exists for that portion of the easement and does not object to its vacation. They have all issued letters to this effect.

The Surveyor's Office staff has reviewed the request, and recommends the Board approve and adopt the Resolution of Vacation terminating and abandoning a portion of the public utilities easement.
