Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
There is no fiscal impact of this action; however, it is possible that in the future the Purchasing Agent could execute a change order that would result in additional costs.
Reason for Recommendation
On February 26, 2013, the Board approved this agreement to implement VeraSMART hosted call accounting service that will allow the County to better manage its telecommunication resources. As the County began the implementation process, it became clear that there were several additional forms that the vendor requires. Because the original agreement was executed by the Board of Supervisors, the Purchasing Agent is unable to execute these associated forms without Board delegated authority. If it becomes necessary for the Purchasing Agent to execute a change order that results in additional costs, this action will be reported in CAO notes.
