Reason for Recommendation
In Fiscal Year 2012-13, Agreement 060-1311 with First 5 El Dorado provides $212,500 to the Library for provision of early literacy programs and activities to young children and their caregivers. This amendment adds a new time deadline of April 15, 2013 for submitting Budget Revisions to the First 5 Commission. Additionally, the amendment ensures that staff supported through the original agreement will spend 5% of their time charged to First 5 in provision of Medi-Cal outreach services.
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
1. Chair to sign two (2) original Amendments I to Agreement 060-1311.
2. Board Clerk's Office to return one (1) signed original Amendment.
3. Library to distribute documents as appropriate.
