Title: Transportation recommending the Board consider the following: 1) Authorize the Chair to sign the Acquisition Agreement for Public Purposes and the Certificates of Acceptance for the related documents from Kyle Ignaitis and Colleen Nicholls, Husband and Wife As Joint Tenants, for Assessor's Parcel Number 325-450-01; and 2) Authorize the Interim Director of Transportation or designee to execute the escrow instructions and any other related escrow documents pertaining to the transaction, including payment of title and escrow fees, for the Green Valley Road Bridge at Weber Creek - Bridge Replacement Project, CIP No. 77114. Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost

Acquisition costs are $4,600 with title and escrow fees estimated at $2,500 for a total estimated cost of $7,100. Funding for the acquisition process will be provided by Highway Bridge Program grant funds of 88.53% and the County's local match funds of 11.47% are available through a combination of Regional Surface Transportation Program Rural Exchange funds and Traffic Impact Mitigation Fees.

Background

Green Valley Road is one of three east-west arterials in the west slope area of El Dorado County, extending from the western County line to Placerville.  The Green Valley Road at Weber Creek Bridge (Bridge) was constructed in 1926 and is a 20-foot wide, two-lane, concrete "T" beam structure that has been identified by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) as structurally deficient (sufficiency rating of 22.5).
