Title: Transportation recommending the Board consider the following: 1) Authorize the Chair to sign the Acquisition Agreement for Public Purposes and the Certificates of Acceptance for the related documents from Tower Energy Group, a California Corporation, for Assessor's Parcel Numbers 329-280-12 and 329-280-13, subject to County Counsel review and approval; and 2) Authorize the Director of Transportation or designee to execute the escrow instructions and any other related escrow documents pertaining to the transaction, including payment of title and escrow fees, for the Pleasant Valley Road (SR49)/Patterson Drive Intersection Signalization Project, CIP No. 73320. Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
Acquisition costs are $3,415 for fee title, $2,848 for a Highway Easement, $27,010 for a Public Utility Easement, $16,560 for two Temporary Construction Easements, and $23,416 for damages which include relocating a fuel sign, light pole and irrigation controller main, with title and escrow fees estimated at $16,751 for a total of $90,000. Funding for the acquisition process will be provided by 2004 General Plan Traffic Impact Mitigation fees.

Background
The intersection of Pleasant Valley Road (State Route 49)/Patterson Drive is located approximately one mile northeast of the community of El Dorado and two miles northwest of the community of Diamond Springs on State Route 49. Currently the intersection is a three-way stop.
