Background
The owner of Agricultural Preserve No. 242 has submitted a letter for non-renewal. The preserve consists of 40.00 acres, comprising of Assessor's parcel Number 087-021-38.  The parcel is accessed from Memory Lane, located in the Latrobe area. (Supervisorial District 2)
 
The owners have requested the 10-year roll-out option for cancellation in accordance with the California Land Conservation Act of 1965, Article 5, Cancellation; Government Code Section 51245. The annual renewal date for all contracts is January 1 of each year. The roll-out from the preserve would begin January 1, 2014, therefore, the properties would no longer be subject to the Williamson Act Contract on January 1, 2024.
 
Board of Supervisors Policy C-12 establishes procedures for processing Notices of Non-Renewal.  In accordance with Policy C-12, the Notice of Non-Renewal was received by the Board of Supervisors on April 29, 2013.
 
Planning Services has reviewed the Notice of Non-Renewal and determined that it is not a partial rollout.  There is no other relevant information regarding this Notice of Non-Renewal.
 
Pursuant to Policy C-12, this report is being submitted to the Agricultural Commission.  Because this is not a partial rollout, no further action is required by the Agricultural Commission other than to receive and file this report.
