Background
The public utilities easements, as shown on Lot 33 of " VILLAGE I, LOTS F, G and H, SERRANO ", recorded at Book I of Subdivisions at Page 104 were offered to the County of El Dorado by, PARKER DEVELOPMENT COMPANY on August 15, 2001. The easements were accepted by the County of El Dorado on September 26, 2001 and the Subdivision Map recorded on September 27, 2001.

Reason for Recommendation:
A request has been submitted by, John J. Williams and Rena E. Williams, owner of Assessor's Parcel Number 123-230-33, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a portion of the 5 foot public utilities easement located on the southern boundary of subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A, and depicted in Exhibit B of attached Resolution.

AT&T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District and Pacific Gas & Electric has not used said easement for the purpose for which it was dedicated and finds no present or future need exists for that portion of the easement and does not object to its vacation.  They have all issued letters to this effect.

The County Surveyor's Office has reviewed the request, and recommends the Board approve and adopt the Resolution of Vacation terminating and abandoning the described portion of the public utilities easement.

Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
1) Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution.
2) Clerk of the Board to record the Resolution and attached Exhibits.
3) Clerk of the Board to return a copy of the recorded Resolution and attached Exhibits to the Surveyor's Office for further processing.
4) Surveyor's Office will coordinate with the applicant's Professional Land Surveyor or Registered Civil Engineer licensed to practice surveying, to have the Certificate of Correction Modification or Amendment recorded on SD I-104.
