Title: Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, recommending the Board adopt Resolution 092-2013 sanctioning a road closure to be in effect for Pleasant Valley Road between Leisure Lane and Mt. Aukum Road (E-16). Additionally, road barricades will be located at the intersections of Pleasant Valley Road and Beau Val Lane, Alameda Road and Strauss Drive on Thursday, July 4, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., for the "Pleasant Valley Day - 4th of July Parade," subject to conditions set forth in Resolution No. 110-79 dated May 1, 1979, and conditions set forth in the “Application for Road Closure” submitted for this event.

There is no fiscal impact or net County cost associated with this Resolution.
 
Background
The "Pleasant Valley Day - 4th of July Parade" is an annual event sponsored by the Pleasant Valley Grange #675.  Requested road closures are for the safety of the parade participants, children, volunteers, and spectators along the course.
 
Reason for Recommendation
The Transportation Division is recommending Board approval of the closure to allow for the safety and success of this community event.  Other involved agencies have made no objection to this closure.
 
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
1) The Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution.
2) The Clerk of the Board to send an executed copy of the Resolution to the
Transportation Division.
