No change. Sufficient appropriations for the purchase of the networking equipment are included in the Agency’s FY 2013-14 Recommended Budget. The Agency’s Recommended Budget will be adjusted during the addenda process to increase fixed asset appropriations and reduce Services & Supply appropriations by a corresponding amount.

Background
The Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is federally funded and regulated to provide supplemental food, referral services, and nutrition education for eligible women, infants and children under the age of five. The Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) administers the WIC program for El Dorado and Alpine counties and offers services at the main offices in Placerville and South Lake Tahoe. The WIC program also provides outreach services to four remote sites throughout El Dorado County, which include Pioneer Park Community Center in Somerset, Pollock Pines Community Church, Georgetown Community Center and White Rock Village Apartment in El Dorado Hills. Services at the remote sites are provided with the use of a travel kit, which consists of a laptop computer and a printer that connect to the county network through a dial-up analog router.
