Title: Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, recommending the Board adopt Resolution 133-2013 sanctioning the closures of Main Street and South Street in Georgetown between Highway 193 and Harkness Street. Additionally, road barricades will be located at the intersections of Main Street/Placer Street, Main Street/Orleans Street and Main Street/School Street between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2013, for the “Georgetown Founder’s Day Event,” subject to conditions set forth in Resolution No. 110-79 dated May 1, 1979, and subject to conditions set forth in the “Application for Road Closure” submitted for this event.

Background
The "Georgetown Founder's Day Event" is an annual craft, food, parade and music fair, sponsored by the Georgetown Divide Rotary Club.  Requested road closures are for the safety of the participants, volunteers and spectators during the fair.
 
Reason for Recommendation
The Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, is recommending Board approval of the proposed Resolution for the safety and success of this community event.  No involved agencies objected to this closure.
 
Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
1. The Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution.
2. The Clerk of the Board to send a fully executed copy of the Resolution to the Transportation Division.
