Background
On October 8, 2013 the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council provided a presentation of its activities and accomplishments to the Board of Supervisors. The Board approved an appropriation of $51,000 including $26,022 in Title III funds and $24,978 in General Funds to the Fire Safe Council to support ongoing efforts to provide fuels management and reduction projects, continue wildfire prevention education programs, and develop Community Wildfire Protection Plans for communities throughout the County.
Reason for Recommendation
Authority to execute contract amendments for previous appropriations was delegated to the Chief Administrative Officer. The Board action from October did not include such delegation of authority. The existing contract with the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council has been amended as desired by the Board.
