Funding for these services are included in the FY 2013-14 budget and will be included in the FY 2014-15 budget.

Background/Reason for Recommendation
The County has various wet and dry sprinkler systems and kitchen hood systems installed in County facilities on both the east and west slope along with a clean agent system located in Information Technologies. These systems require inspections, tests and certifications at varying intervals (quarterly, semi-annual, annual, five-year and twelve-year). These inspections must be performed by a contractor who is trained and licensed to test, maintain and repair fire suppression systems in accordance with Title 19 of the California Code of Regulations. As our facilities have grown, so has the need to increase these services along with the not to exeed amount of the Agreement.

Procurement and Contracts will also be issuing a County-wide blanket purchase order to Hangtown Fire Control for fire extinguisher services for a 2-year term with a not-to-exceed amount of $125,000.
