Title
Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, recommending the Board adopt Resolution 020-2014 sanctioning a road closure to be in effect for Jacquier Road to Smith Flat Road to Smith Flat School Road and then onto El Dorado Trail. The return route will be the same, only in reverse. This permit is not for the El Dorado Trail, however, a trail permit has been issued through the CAO's Office. Additionally, El Dorado County Explorers and CHP Officer Advisors will provide crossing guards for each major cross street. This event is scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., for the "Sugarloaf Stampede Run," subject to conditions set forth in Resolution No. 110-79 dated May 1, 1979, and conditions set forth in the "Application for Road Closure" submitted for this event.

Background
The "Sugarloaf Stampede Run" is a running event sponsored by El Dorado County Office of Education for the Sugarloaf Fine Arts Camp Foundation. Requested road closures are for the safety of the road closure participants, children, volunteers, and spectators along the course.
Reason for Recommendation
The Transportation Division is recommending Board approval of the closure to allow for the safety and success of this community event. Other involved agencies have made no objection to this closure.
Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
1) The Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution.
2) The Clerk of the Board to send an executed copy of the Resolution to the Transportation Division.
