Background:
On March 11, 2014, Chair Santiago requested that County Counsel's office give a brief presentation on the California Public Records Act ("Act"), Government Code section 6252 et seq. As part of the presentation, an outline will be distributed which summarizes some of the key provisions of the Act that County Counsel believes the public will find of interest.
The outline and presentation are not intended to be a summary of all the provisions of the Act nor an exhaustive treatise of the case law or exemptions.
