Background
The public utility easement, as shown on Lot 618 of "West Valley Village Unit No. 5B-Phase 1", recorded at Book J of Subdivisions at Page 119 was offered to the County of El Dorado by, Meritage Homes of California, Inc. a California Corporation, on October 9, 2013. The easement was accepted by the County of El Dorado on November 5, 2013 and the Subdivision Map recorded on November 7, 2013.

Reason for Recommendation:
A request has been submitted by, Meritage Homes of California, Inc. a California Corporation, owner of APN 118-620-01, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a 3 foot portion of a 10 foot public utility easement located on the southeasten boundary of subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A, and depicted on Exhibit B of attached Resolution.

The County Surveyor's Office has reviewed the request, and recommends the Board approve and adopt the Resolution of Vacation terminating and abandoning the described portion of the public utility easement.

Follow-Up Action:
Following Board approval, the Surveyor's Office will coordinate with the applicant's Professional Land Surveyor or Registered Civil Engineer licensed to practice surveying, to have the Certificate of Correction Modification or Amendment recorded in Book J of Subdivisions at Page 119.
