Background
This road closure application was submitted to the Community Development Agency, Transportation Division (Division) on Monday, April 14, 2014.  The Blue Oak Elementary "Bulldog Biathlon" is a running/cycling event for children from Kindergarten through 5th grade and is sponsored by the Blue Oak Elementary Parent Teachers Association.  Sponsors anticipate approximately 100 children for the event.   
 
Reason for Recommendation
The Division is recommending Board approval of the road closures to provide for the safety of participants, volunteers and spectators along the course, and to assist in the success of this community event.  Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.
 
Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
1.  The Clerk will obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution.
2.  The Clerk Board will send one (1) fully executed copy of the Resolution to the Transportation Division.
