Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts, recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to extend BP20130934 for one additional 12 month period to expire on 05/29/2015 for the purchase of Bulk Lubricants to the low qualified bidder, Hunt and Sons., Inc. of Placerville, CA; and
2) Authorize the Purchasing Agent to increase the blanket purchase order on an "as needed" basis during the awarded period as long as funding is available within the requesting department's budget.
FUNDING: General Fund and non General Fund.

Procurement and Contracts has been advised that funding is available within the Community Development Agency, Transportation Division's budget.
Reason For Recommendation
At the request of Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, the Procurement and Contracts Division issued Invitation to Bid #13-405-071 for the purchase of Bulk Lubricants. On 05/28/2013, the Purchasing Agent issued BP20140934 to the low qualified bidder Hunt & Sons, inc. of Placerville, CA in the amount of $80,000.00 for a twelve month award period expiring on 05/28/2014. Hunt & Sons, Inc. has agreed to extend the Bid with the same pricing terms and conditions of the original bid.
Increasing the blanket purchase order by $80,000.00 will bring the cumulative award total to $160,000.00 which is over the Purchasing Agents signature authority, as such, it requires Board of Supervisors approval
Action to be taken following Board approval
The Procurement and Contracts Division will extend the blanket purchase order for one additional twelve month term in the amount of $80,000.00 to Hunt & Sons, Inc. of Placerville, CA.
