Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, recommending the Board approve and authorize the Chair to sign Resolution 086-2014 sanctioning the closure of Marshall Road between Greenwood Road and Garden Valley Road, on Friday, July 4, 2014, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. for the "Garden Valley Annual 4th of July Parade and Celebration," subject to conditions set forth in Resolution No. 110-79, and conditions set forth in the "Application for Road Closure."

Background
The "Garden Valley 4th of July Parade and Celebration" is an annual event sponsored by the Georgetown Divide Recreation District. Requested road closures are for the safety of the parade participants, children, volunteers, and spectators along the course.
Reason for Recommendation
The Transportation Division is recommending Board approval of the road closure to provide for the safety of participants, volunteers and spectators along the course, and to enhance the success of this community event. Other involved agencies have made no objection to this closure.
Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
1) The Clerk will obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution.
2) The Clerk will send an executed copy of the Resolution to the Transportation Division.
