Background
Information Technologies has been contracting for the license and maintenance of Computer Associates products since 1992. These products provide essential management and administrative tools for our mainframe system including program source code and in-house program inventory, on-line mainframe session monitoring and mainframe database administration.

Reason for Recommendation
Information Technologies currently utilizes the following products in the daily operations of our mainframe enviroment:

CA - Librarian Source code library system
CA - RC/Query DB2 Utility
CA - Solve Access session management utilities
CA - RC/Update DB2 Utility

Information Technologies recommends the continuation of these tools which are critical to the management and maintenance of essential mainframe applications such as FAMIS and Payroll, the Property System and the Land Mangement Information System (LMIS).
