Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
There is no Net County Cost for this program and no matching requirement.  Funding will be included in the FY 2014-15 Addenda request.  The project costs will total $23,718 with $18,825 from the JAG grant and an additional $4,893 funded by California Multi-Juristictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team (CalMMET) special revenue funds.
Background/Reason for Recommendation
The El Dorado County Sheriff's office is requesting $9,427 to partially fund sending 8 detectives to the California Narcotice Officer's Assocation Annual Training Institute.  The funding would cover lodging, meals, airfare and registration fees.  The El Dorado County District Attorney's office is requesting $9,398 to fund sending 3 District Attorney Investigators to the California District Attorney Investigator's Association Conference and to pruchase law enforcement tactical equipment and supplies.
 
The The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs' (OJP) Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), does require that the County notify the Board and make available a copy of the application to allow any public comment in regards to the application.
