Title
Chief Administrative Office requesting the Board receive and file an informational overview on the three qualified initiatives, known at time of writing as Measures M, O and N (formerly initiatives one, two and six). The Board granted a staff request for continuance of the overview for five weeks from the original July 22, 2014 meeting. (Cont. 8/26/14, Item 38)
Body
At its  May 13, 2014 meeting, the Board made a motion "...directing staff to return to the Board by July 22, 2014 with an overview of the five remaining initiatives to include the fundamentals of what each initiative does and a basic overview of the effects on the General Plan". In response to this direction, County Counsel addressed the first portion of this request by providing their office's title and summary of each initiative (including initiative #4, which was not circulated for signatures and eventually became initiative #5) (Attachment 2A).  Subsequently at the July 22, 2014 meeting, staff requested a continuance of five weeks to provide an overview addressing the second portion of the initial direction to provide "...a basic overview of the effects on the General Plan". The Board granted this request and directed staff to return with the referenced overview by its August 26, 2014 meeting. As such, the requested report is attached for consideration as Attachment 3A.
