1) Recognize the 25th Anniversary of Senior Day Care Services in El Dorado County;
2) Recognize the week of September 14 through 20, 2014, as Adult Day Services Week; and
3) Extend an invitation to the public to attend an open house celebration on Thursday, September 18, 2014, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 935A Spring Street, Placerville, California.
FUNDING: Fees for Service, Donations and General Fund Contribution.

Background
The Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) Senior Day Care Services Program is designed to meet the needs of adults who are homebound or isolated due to a stroke, Alzheimer's disease, or other debilitating mental or physical condition. The Senior Day Care Services Program provides participants with enriching educational, therapeutic, and social experiences outside the home and offers respite for caregivers. The County has operated the Senior Day Care Program in Placerville since 1989 and on March 31, 2014, opened an additional site in El Dorado Hills.
Reason for Recommendation
An open house will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at 935A Spring Street, Placerville celebrating National Adult Day Services Week and the 25th anniversary of the Senior Day Care Services in El Dorado County.

Provide Health and Human Services Agency at Briw Road, with one (1) original Proclamation signed by the Chair.
