Background:
The Sheriff's Office (SO) has had an agreement with Motorola Solutions Inc. since 2009 to provide "as-needed" depot repair services for Motorola radio equipment.  This agreement is to continue receiving these services for a new three-year contract term.

Reason for Recommendation
Approval of this contract is essential to ensure critical radio components and systems utilized by the Sheriff's Office are repaired in a timely and professional manner. Motorola is a primary vendor of most mission critical equipment used by the Sheriff's Office and as a result has the technical expertise to service the radio systems. In the event this contract is not approved, the Sheriff's Office will be unable to repair critical radio systems that are essential to the day to day operations of Sheriff staff.

Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
SO will return a fully executed original to Motorola Solutions, Inc.
