Body
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
There is no Net County Cost associated with this agenda item. The Transportation Division (Transportation) programmed the CTA 12 008 grant funds within the 2014 Capital Improvement Program as part of the Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program section and within the Fiscal Year 14/15 budget.

Background
Site Improvement Grant Agreement CTA 12 008 was originally authorized by the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) Board on December 14, 2012 and was approved by the County Board of Supervisors on March 26, 2013 (See Version 1 of this same Legistar Item).

Reason for Recommendation
Proposed Amendment 1 to Agreement CTA 12 008 adjusts the original project boundary and extends the project boundary to adjoining areas. CTC has approved the project boundary adjustment to the original boundary. The new project boundary will allow Transportation to add additional water quality improvements.

The amount budgeted for direct construction costs under Agreement CTA 12 008 is $205,000. The construction contract amount for the Forest View Water Quality Project is $143,022, leaving a surplus balance of $59,978 to be used for construction. With the proposed boundary adjustment, Transportation plans to add additional water quality improvements to the construction contract to include two drainage inlets with offline storage for the treatment of stormwater as well as rehabilitation work to an existing infiltration basin. The cost for the additional work is anticipated to be $40,000. The remaining balance will be reserved for contingency purposes.
