Background
Pursuant to Government Code Section 66908.3, the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) is authorized to lease acquire lands. When such lands are within El Dorado County (County) and are leased to private individuals or groups, the CTC must transfer twenty-five percent of the gross income of the leases to the County each year. Pursuant to the Budget Act of 2014, Chapter 25/14, the California State Legislature has appropriated $9,987 to the CTC for transfer to the County as private lease revenue for this fiscal year. At least fifty percent of this amount is to be used for soil erosion control projects in the South Lake Tahoe region, as defined in Section 66905.5 of the Government Code.

Reason for Recommendation
The CTC Private Lease Agreement CTA 14 010 (Agreement) transfers to the County twenty-five percent of the gross income from CTC leases to private individuals or groups on lands owned by the CTC in the County. The Transportation Division (Transportation) will allocate the entire $9,987 to soil erosion control projects.
